Tattoos By Kirt Silver

“Every tattoo tells a story. My job is to help you tell yours.”

I’m Kirt Silver, owner and artist at Silver City Tattoos in Nova Scotia, and I’ve dedicated my life to creating artwork that people are proud to wear forever.

To me, tattooing has never been about simply putting ink in skin. It’s about listening. Every client walks through my door with a different story, a different reason, and a different vision. My job is to take those ideas and turn them into something completely original—something that feels like it was always meant to be there.

I believe every tattoo should be as individual as the person wearing it. Whether it’s a full sleeve, back piece, realistic portrait, black and grey design, or vibrant colour composition, every project is created from the ground up with longevity, flow, and craftsmanship in mind. That’s the standard I’ve always held myself to, and it’s the standard every client deserves.

Over the years I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for my work and become a member of the Sullen Art Collective team, and work with some of the industry’s best artist and company’s. I have had the honour of winning countless awards but that has never been what drives me. The greatest compliment I can receive is when someone trusts me with an idea that’s deeply personal and allows me to bring it to life.

Appointments are typically booked months in advance, and I open my books every 3 months throughout the year.

When you sit in my chair, you’re not choosing a design off the wall. You’re investing in artwork that’s created specifically for you, with the intention of looking just as good decades from now as it does the day it heals.

Instructions for Healing:

  1. As instructed by artist, leave on the transparent/second skin bandage up to 7 days. (It is perfectly normal to have some fluid build up under the bandage)
  2. Please avoid any extra heavy activity, sun exposure, picking and scratching. For best result, avoid moisture and heat. Skin will be incredibly sensitive to heat (heat rash) and sweat when second skin is in use.
  3. Remove on the 7th day in a hot shower with soap and water, pulling the bandage back and away not out. Then clean, pat dry and add daily non-scented moisturizer as part of daily routine. It is normal if there is adhesive residue left behind from the bandage on the skin after removal. You can use a bit of baby oil to remove it. Then re-wash with unscented soap and warm water. It may take a couple days to completely remove the adhesive.

Please Note: If you have any unusual irritation, discomfort or redness please call 902-259-2361 or Contact Me before removing the bandage. I may ask you to send a pic of the tattoo and the surrounding area.

** If I can’t be reached or do not respond with in 4 hours, then follow theses instructions: Remove bandage and clean with non-scented soap, pat dry with paper towel. Then apply a light amount of Polysporin on tattoo and any irritation surrounding the tattoo. Make note if it feels and/or looks better by next day. **
